Tim Harwood is a dynamic performer whose career has taken him from iconic West End stages to international tours. Captivating audiences with his talent and charisma. Tim was born to entertain. He has embraced various roles in the world of musical theatre, dance and tribute as well as TV and film, creating a career as varied as it is accomplished.
His theatre credits are impressive including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (West End), A Chorus Line (London Palladium), Fame (National Tour). Tim’s versatility has seen him take on the lead role of Elvis Presley in Bill Kenwright’s This Is Elvis (National Tour), the role of Elwood in The Blues Brothers Unlimited (Centrepoint Theatre, Dubai) and perform in The Rocky Horror Picture Show understudying and playing the roles of Eddie/Dr Scott and Rocky! (National Tour). He played the role of Sal in Oh! What A Night (Palace Theatre, Manchester) and the role of Zebulon/Apache Dancer in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (Essen, Germany) as well as various roles in Grease (Düsseldorf, Germany) and a few years later Grease again on a Stadium Tour of Sweden and Finland playing to 17,000 people a night at Stockholm’s Globe Arena!
He has portrayed Rock ’n’ Roll legends in many touring theatre shows including Buddy Holly (In Dreams), Eddie Cochran (Rockin’on Heaven’s Door), Ritchie Valens (Buddy Holly’s Winter Dance Party) and Billie Fury (We 3 Kings). His love for the golden age of music shines in his role as Dean Martin in The Rat Pack with performances across the UK and abroad including a celebrated performance at the Dubai Winter Festival.
Other appearances include: The British Pop Invasion (National Tour, Netherlands), You Don’t Bring Me Flowers – A Tribute to the Music of Neil Diamond and Barbara Streisand, (National Tour), a recent stint playing the role of Sam in Mamma Mia – Movies in The Park (Abu Dhabi), and a spell as a featured vocalist with hit touring production That’ll Be The Day!
Tim put together his own vocal harmony group The Rockafellas a few years ago, celebrating the great groups of the 50’s and 60’s and the wonderful sounds of Do- wop! He wrote and choreographed the show.
Film And Television work has been varied with appearances as a dancer on BBC1 with Bruce Forsyth and Zoe Ball, in an ITV adaptation of Tess of the D’Urbevilles, and as a Nabu Foot soldier in Star Wars movie – The Phantom Menace to name just a couple.
From his humble beginnings in Blackpool to the West End and around the world, Tim’s career is a testament to his versatility, dedication and love for timeless music. Whether touring as a Dancer with Wayne Sleep, or embodying the King of Rock ’n’ Roll, he brings authenticity and heart to every performance.
